Final Thoughts and Wrap-UpHello everyone,
First, it's been a privilege and a pleasure to work with you this year and I wish I could have continued to work with you in person. You rose up and met the challenges of a difficult and historical year; I am proud of you in your efforts. This wasn't easy. For any of us. I hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and fun-filled summer - you deserve it. Logistical reminders for ending this year: By June 10th, be sure you've completed any work (current, missing, or make-up) that you need to. Also, let me know by that date whether you will take your letter grade or the pass option (only S2; requires a minimum of 60%); if I don't hear from you on that - I'll default to your letter grade. Be sure you return your textbooks and library books following this schedule: JUNIORS June 8TH, Monday – 10-3pm SOPHOMORES June 9th, Tuesday – 10-3pm FRESHMEN June 10th, Wednesday – 10-3pm If you checked out a Chromebook; you will keep it through the fall just in case it is determined that we'll need to start school remotely. If we do not start remotely, you will return it upon school beginning next year - watch for updates. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out and ask. All the best, Ms. Pierce

You must let me know by June 11th (by June 4th if you are a senior!) , if you and your parents have decided to take the P option for your S2 grade as the best option for your needs. If you don't let me know; I will default to your letter grade. DUE:Be sure to finish final Menu Activities if you have not yet done so. CLASS ACTIVITY: Final REflection (30 Points) - Due June 6/8This will be our final assignment, worth 30 points due by June 8th. You may turn a typed or handwritten copy in via Teams, e-mail, Remind, etc.
If you are a senior, I need this by June 4th. Please write a brief reflection on our year that address the following (to give me some insights for my planning ext year): 1. What topics were your favorite? 2. What topics were your least favorite? 3. What type of classwork and homework did you find most helpful in your learning? 4. Across all classes, not just mine, what methods and elements did you find most helpful in regard to remote learning during Quarter 4? If you are behind in my class or are not happy with your grade, you are welcome to still turn in late work and re-do incomplete assignments through June 10th. If you need help with any of this, please let me know. I would also encourage you to take this time, to reach out to other teachers whose classes you may want to recover or improve in as well. |
